Antiquing
Ocean Shores (located 15 miles south) has plenty of antique stores in the area, for the veteran shopper there should be no problem picking up a treasure or two.
For the real connoisseur – make sure you attend the Antique and Collectable's Show sponsored by ACT the 2nd weekend in February of every year. There are over 50 booths of vintage antiques and collectable's and appraisers are on hand.
Bicycle & Hiking Adventures
This is a great way to see a unique part of the country. The scenery and hikes were terrific. The combination of ocean/coastal activities and forest/mountain/hiking activities was just right.. http://www.bicycleadventures.com/where/washington/olympic-hike.php

Ocean Shores is a fantastic place for bird watching and the Audubon Society has written books about the birds in this area. Damon Point State Park (also known as Protection Island) is very popular and is one of the only known nesting sites for the Snowy Plover. Pacific Beach Events
On each of the last 31 years, we have had a festival celebrating our existance on the beautiful Washington coast. This is the premiere event for our communities, and occurs annually on the Labor Day Weekend. A tribute to Kelp is perfect as it depicts life on a shore line. Kelp is not a pre-requisite to join in, nor have I seen much of it at the previous festivals.
Kelp is simply... Kelp!!
Shake Rats are a unique and distinguished group here in the North Beach. Many have been here for many proud generations engaged in the timber industry. The skills embraced by this lot are only for the hearty. A Saturday demonstration is planned, with a full competition to occur Sunday from mid-morning, pausing for the passing Moclips-to-Pacific Beach parade, then climaxing mid-afternoon. We enjoy some talented folks year after year.
Plus:The Fire District #8 and Santa Claus hand out presents in conjunction the the Food Banks Toy Run.
Santa hops on a Fire Engine and the whole lot of them cruise the communities just before Christmas Day.
